The White Hawaiian Returns with Monthly Showcase at ProArts Playhouse Maui
MAUI, HI (February 23, 2022) – The White Hawaiian, starring Eric Gilliom, announces a monthly showcase at ProArts Playhouse in 2023. White Hawaiian has quickly become a hit show to see while on Maui! This is a smart and witty one-man show that first debuted in 2019 to sold-out audiences at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Following its initial success in 2020, White Hawaiian did it again at Mulligan’s on the Blue in Wailea with more sell-out shows and rave reviews. In 2022, Gilliom reprised his roles to sell-out audiences at the ProArts Playhouse in Kihei. With this huge success, the show returns to ProArts Playhouse most months throughout 2023.

Maui’s Curtain Call Reviews boasts that “Mr. Gilliom gives everything he’s got every moment he is on the stage. There is an old saying about when a performer is totally committed to their material, they say, “he left it on the stage.” Well, Mr. Gilliom not only leaves it on the stage but everywhere else in the house. His singing, acting, and material are totally terrific, and this is a marvelous show you will probably want to see several times. Every time a visitor comes, White Hawaiian, Coconuts Don’t Fall Far from the Tree will take its place with the sunrise on Haleakalā and the Road to Hana as a must-do event while on Maui. It’s that good.”
“Based on the foundation of a multi-generational family tribute, White Hawaiian embraces a dizzying array of comedic caricatures, Chaplin-esque slapstick, moving drama, multiple hit musical highlights, and non-stop laugh-out-loud moments, along with some Hawaiian cultural history. All wrapped up with a knockout performance by its star.” —Maui News
